Have a GE profile PYD22KSLBSS
Freezer is cooling fine but not the refrigerator
Cleaned the coils really good.
Also, air coming out of the side is cold but not blowing out of the back.
Possible for the fan in the back could be out?
Thanks everyone.

Have decided it is the fresh food evaporator fan. Have a new one ordered

If this is a side by side, there are openings that allow the cold freezer air to get into fridge. Sometimes they’ll freeze up or simply get blocked by something. I had this happen to me before.

Two of mine have done that over the years. Called a repair man and with the parts and labor he advised me to go buy a new one. My microwave and whirlpool washer went out last week. Same thing. Got told to go buy a new one. They both were 8 years old. None of this stuff is built to last. My 7 year old Echo blower went out. A coil is what I think it was called. Repairman said a new one was $200 and I’d be better off to go buy a new one. Man alive I’ve had a run of bad luck on appliances and yard equipment lately. My dad was a mechanical engineer and could literally take a F-22 Raptor apart and put it back together. Unfortunately I was not blessed with his mechanical aptitude. Dad would order the parts and fix stuff like that for me. He passed a year ago today and I sure miss him. Really could use his repair skills because money has been tight in my industry in 2024.

This also happens with traditional refrigerators with over head freezers. Happened to mine a couple months ago. Unplugged, opened freezer and fridge, and put a fan blowing to thaw out the air passage.

That coil is $20 or less on Amazon if you can find the correct one.
