I just looked at some different Google images and the little pink flowers does look like the Crimson Fire Loropetalum. I think Craw said it best when he said to just dig them up and figure out something else to put there.

Any suggestions on a good looking tall, narrow shrub to replace it with? I'll probably just get rid of the other one all together and leave it. I've already got a crepe myrtle in that corner. It'll also give a little light to the window hiding behind it.

Honestly, I wouldn't be looking for a tree, but keep it somewhat simple with a hedge type setup. Some sort of medium azaleas or a two tiered hedge type thing.
