Ok... earlier today I drove my Jeep in my yard to drop off bags of mulch. On the way out I was on the phone and backed into my well water line. This well mine goes up and comes back down in the shape of an upside down U. One line leads to the well and the other leads to the pump in my shop.

Unknowingly I cut the two inch pipe on the well side and apparently there was a one inch water line inside. That one inch line fell... who knows how deep but suffice it to say after 50 feet I couldn’t feel it (connected some other 1 inch pipe). Now the water table was high enough so I dropped 50 feet of one inch and connected it all back together (again only did 50 feet and no clue if that is correct).

I have water flow all throughout my house however my water pump is running non stop. The pressure on it isn’t changing. I have no idea how much air pressure is in my water well tank either.

I am calling a professional in the morning but any other recommendations? Also, if anyone has a well person in Ascension parish (Saint amant) please let me know.

this is your answer, no one here will be able to give you the help you need with this

my best guess is the inner pipe was an extension to go deeper into the well but most wells use a filter screen on the bottom of the pipe to keep rocks and trash from getting sucked up and ruining your pump

If that is a suction line, you may have lost a check valve at the bottom of the 1-inch pipe. Hard to tell what is going on without more information.

Thank you all.
Professionals came out this morning and had it fixed in no time for only $190. Ultimately needed a valve at the bottom of the one inch line. Also needed to effectively prime the pump.
