If you like Mexican food Forest Hill is the place!
Tamales at Mi Tierra? ??
Nope, the food trailer on the west side of 165, just north of where 112 hits 165. Burritos are big as footballs.

You must be buying them from DYN off Hwy 165, Stokes or Poole Bros on Hwy 112? Those are the only retail sellers here..... or you have relatives in the nursery business.
Holloway nursery. We lucked up because prices went up and I didn’t know it. They ended up selling everything to us for the price that was listed on internet at retail price.

You have to cover them.

We rent a U-haul when we go on that run. I lost a few shrubs that were succeptible to wind damage on a previous trip. It's a long haul from the river parishes to Forrest Hill.
Worth the trip, but a 5x8 u-haul is only about $20 if renting for 24hrs.

BRILLIANT!!! i was prepared to build a plywood box on my utility trailer. this will work 100000000X better
let me ask yall how to handle this: i need at least 50 shrubs for my front yard plus i need 80 sweet viburnum for my back yard. i plan on all being 3 gallon variety. can i stack plants on top of each other or do i need to build a "second floor".
3 gal pots are 11" dia. so i figured 1 level i can put 72 in a 6x12 trailer. then i can put maybe another 50 if i stagger and stack a second level. kind if like this (i'll add pic)

Made the trip to forrest hill last friday and it was amazing. See pics below. It's like a grocery store, 100 acres you just drive through and pick what you want. they give you a map of the sections and a price list with what section each plant is in. Each area of different plants has a sign saying what it is and you just hop out, pick what you want, load up, and move on.
I had loaded the trailer for them to come count when i checked out and when i asked the lady if she wanted to come count she just said "tell me what you have" and didn't even check.
Easy trip. We knew generally the counts of what we wanted and the types. It took us about 3 hours to go through and load what we wanted but we still rode down every aisle just to see what they had.
Highly recommend renting a uhaul trailer for $30. i laid a tarp on the bottom in case any dirt or water got on the floor and just pulled that out and blew it out the next day and returned it. A guy there showed me a pro tip: bring a folding table so you can make a layer of plants on the bottom of the trailer then another layer on the table.
I think we spent $1100 on over 130 plants. The main nursery had plants up to 15 gallon, the "large pot" trees are at another location nearby.
