Hard wired smoke detector blaring unprovoked

We have a new home (2 years old) with run of the mill first alert smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. About 4 times since we have moved in, the detectors have gone off full blast for about 10-15 seconds in a three beep pattern then stops. No source was ever found (not cooking or anything) but I changed batteries in all of them thinking it could be that. I then forget about it for a while and then randomly it goes off again. Well last night was the first time it went off in the middle of the night, blares for 10-15 seconds (just enough to get you to jump out of bed and stop drop and roll) and stops. No chirp nothing else. All green lights, no blinking red ones. I have googled without luck. Any idea what can be causing it? Carbon monoxide alarm is apparently a solid beep or 4 beeps and this was three which is supposedly smoke. I will call an electrician in the AM but wanted to ask. I thought the two AM chirp was bad…I about fell out the bed last night with the full thing.

Do you have an alarm located outside say in your garage? Or a very dusty area?
I say that because I had one in my garage and it would trip the entire house every now and then. I disconnected it and nothing sense. I read heavy dust (my garage is not closed it) can trip them

Mine have sounded off due to dust build up inside. Take the cover off and blow it out with canned air.

Our master bedroom one did this Friday night, scarred the living shite out of us. Same thing you described, three beep pattern then stopped. Eight month old batteries and hardwired.

Blow them all out with canned air or vacuum them. Dust, spider webs can cause that.

I hate the new smoke detectors with a passion. High humidity sets mine off. The old models with just a battery worked fine.

That’s what I’m saying! Lived in a house all my life never having this problem. these things have gone off more than every other house combined. PITA.

I was told I had "connected" detectors ten years ago. What may be happening is that a neighboring alarm is telling the one you hear going off that the neighboring alarm's battery is going back, not the one that's actually making noise.
It is entirely possible that the detector at fault was manufactured 3-4 years before the rest of them in your house. My last build completed in 2014, the microwave rolled off the line in 2010, for instance.
As much as I despise Google, the next time I need to install FD, it's probably going to be next protect. I mean, how F@&*& hard is it to put a 4 cent amber LED on each unit to say, "I'm the arsehole with the low battery??"

We renovated our house and being built in the 70s had no smoke alarm system.
I bought the wireless x-sense off Amazon and I couldn't be more pleased.
Super easy to install in every room if the house and they offer CO2 monitors and all kinds of sensors.
They pair and connect to a base station that you can plug in anywhere and since you can name the devices you know where everything is. They also connect to each other so wifi coverage is a non issue.
You also know exactly how much battery is left and get early notifications when they're running low.
100% would buy again. Fantastic product .

They all went off not just one and allegedly there is some Morse code blinking system that tells you which one is the offender but more than one is blinking? I don’t know how something so easy is now so complicated. Thanks for the replies. Going to blow the dust off and hope that solves the issue. I guess I’ll know in 6 months when it does it again.
