Grass Seed

Backyard is a mix of centipede/st aug/weeds, it’s always been a bit thin due to shade in spots. Got lit up at the end of the summer by webworms so it was very thin in the fall. Put down ryegrass to get thru the winter without a muddy mess.
I know the rye will be dying off soon, is there any seed I can put down soon that may grow easily to replace the rye? Not interested in spending the money for sod as I don’t really care how it looks, I just don’t want it muddy back there.

Get common Bermuda from Hancock and go heavy with it.
That is, if you have full sun.

If you have shady spots, you’ll struggle to seed a warm season turf.
The best turf for shade will be St Aug or Zoysia. Zoysia has limited availability in seed and St Aug has zero.
Bermuda would do well and grow quickly in full sun. You could then sod the thin areas with St Aug or Zoysia. Bahia may also be a cheap option that would do better than Bermuda in the shade.

I have an area that is often wet but full sun. I was going to try seeding turfgrass today. Any suggestions on type?
