Anyone have issues with the Echo Speed Feed head? It's easy to thread the line through and get it full, but even when I use LESS line footage than recommended, the damn string seems to 'melt' together on the inside thereby causing constant issues with line spooling out when tapping the head.
Anyone else have this same issue??
No. I've had mine damn near 10 years and when it dies I'll be heading to home Depot to get another.

Felt like sharing because I didn't think that you could find lawn equipment so heavily discounted
I posted awhile back when I got an electric chainsaw- so now I'm married to the Toro 60v ecosystem.
It was at Home Depot, on a clearance table with a sign saying "all items 50% off marked price".
Unfortunately for Home Depot, some industrious employee had already slapped a 50% off sticker on the chainsaw.... with the new price.

I called a manager over, pointed, he stared at it a few seconds, and said "ok, yeah. If you want to buy it right now, I will walk you to the register and we'll ring it up.". I did, getting it 50% off the 50% off price. Instead of $289, it was $72, with a battery and charger included. It WAS returnable, but I didn't need to worry about that, as it runs great. They simply were moving on from that brand, and that had been up on top of the shelf.

The batteries are the expensive part. When I need a new battery I just buy some tool I want that comes with the battery. I just got the chainsaw with a new battery and i use the new battery in all my other ego equipment.
My old batteries work...they just have around half the run time they did when new
