In general I like the little guys as they eat insects but my back patio is overrun with these assholes who leave surprisingly large turds everywhere. Dont necessarily need them dead. Just off patio.

My parents were going through this issue as well. Geckos were leaving surprisingly large shits all over their outdoor appliances and furnishings. Great for the bugs, not so great for company
They tried a few things from sprays to mothballs but what eventually seemed to work the best was My dad would go out every evening and catch 15-20 and release them at a different location until he was only catching about 2-3 (all much smaller and younger) a night.
At the time that seemed like a futile fight to me as I assumed the ones removed would just be replaced by others but the amount of geckos and shite seems to have dropped very dramatically over the last month. Probabky talking about an 80% decrease.

Turn off any lights shining on the patio area at night when you’re not using it. The lizards follow the bugs, and the bugs follow the lights. If house windows shine out onto the patio at night, close the drapes or re-angle lamps to reduce light spill.

Kill their food. My old man had dozens of lizards around his outdoor living area. He also had really bad mosquitos. He would spray like crazy for mosquitoes until they were gone and an unintended consequence was the disappearance of the lizards

Yep got to get rid of their food source. We have a fair bit too. Just try to limit outside lights being on and brightness of inside lights at night.
We are on a small pond and nobody on the pond had any exterior lights on at night.

Get a cat, they eat the hell out of lizards.
Of course then you have cat turds to deal with.

I have those damn blue tailed skinks all over the place. We spray for insects but they shite all over my garage and I don’t think our guy sprays in there so may have him start doing that.
