Just curious to what y'all do to your gardens this time of year? I know some of you grow different crops all year, but we tend to shut it down until it's time to plant for spring/summer harvest.

I prune my favorite pepper plans then move the pots in my garage. I start throwing veggie scraps and egg shells in my slightly raised garden and then turn the soil every 3 weeks or so.

Planting garlic soon. Put leaves and pine straw on all my beds. Drive in some jobes fertilizer spikes for my fruit trees.

I won't have a fall/winter garden again this year as I'm still dealing with an ongoing ankle issue and will need another surgery in a few weeks with an extended recovery period.

However, if things were normal, I'd have the following in my 1000 sq. ft. garden.

Broccoli
Cauliflower
Brussels Sprouts
Kale
Swiss Chard
Several varieties of leaf lettuces
Snow Peas
Sugar Snap Peas
Beets
Onions
Garlic
Cabbage-----both red and green
Spinach
Parsley

I will really miss my fall/winter garden since it is the easiest to deal with since fewer weeds to pull and less watering with the cooler temperatures.
