Flowering invasive tree/shrub ID

These are growing seemingly exclusively along drainage canals and small bayous around town. Anyone know what this is? I don’t remember seeing them last year, and if they were here they’re far more abundant.

Thanks. Where did these wash in from? They’re on about every drainage canal within town. I’m on the Northshore.

They are native and very common. My guess is there is just a bit more sunlight available post-Ida allowing these guys and other successional plants to take hold in the disturbed area.
