That's a steep price for a fruit that has a very short shelf life once picked. The most they'll last is a couple days before going off unless you dehydrate them or make preserves.
It takes me about 40 figs to make a pint of preserves since they shrink up a bit as they cook and release their juices. The figs my tree produces are about the size of a man's thumb from the tip to the middle joint.
Places like Costco and Sam's sells dehydrated figs for a reasonable price and every once in a while I see them at Costco in the refrigerated produce section and those figs are HUGE and about the size of a golf ball-----but cost more than I'd pay.
You can buy fig preserves way cheaper than you can make it if you don't have a tree to pick from.

Good size figs and I guess it all depends on how badly you want fresh figs if it's worth it to you.
Those would take 24 hours or more to dehydrate if doing them whole since they are so large and would likely make a pint and half pint jar of preserves if that is your plan.

My figs are done. Only got 25 off the tree this morning and even though there's hundreds of small green fruit on the tree, I know from experience that they will not grow and ripen.
So, good luck and hope those who have later ripening figs have a great harvest. Enjoy them while you have them.

yeah mine are done too. Not a huge crop this year, I may need to prune my tree pretty hard this winter. It’s gotten way too big for me to pick past ladder height, and is shading out the inside

I still have a few turning purple but as gumbo pointed out, the small green ones on the tree won’t amount to anything. At least the mockingbirds left me enough to snack on.

I tend to prune my tree every other year to keep it from getting too tall, thin out the interior and removing some of the lower limbs that make grass cutting a PITA under the tree.
Not many crows around here but the mockingbirds and the occasional squirrel or coon can do some serious eating.
Last year my wife was out on the back porch one night and came running inside telling me the fig tree was shaking, so I walked out there and a whole family of coons took off. There was 4 of them running out of the tree and up the wooden fence to get away.
