Places like Servpro are super expensive. Try to do some of the drying, etc on your own.

What sucks is that some of our countertops need to be removed and cabinetry pulled out, I don’t have enough help to do those parts on my own, especially without damaging granite.
The remediation will only be $2500 - 3500, it’s the repairs that’ll cost. Once we have full damage understanding, I’ll decide what I do myself. Super unlikely to match our floors, so good chance we will ultimately need to replace a lot of flooring over time if we want to match.
Wife and I are both in agreement that we are OK with a construction zone for a period of time.
In 2019, our previous home was destroyed in a storm, so this is nothing by comparison. We can grill all meals and use paper plates for a while.

Sorry that happened.
Previous posted mentioned calling your insurance company, wouldn't hurt.

Read your policy language. Make them tell you no before coming out of pocket.

I filed a claim yesterday, waiting for agent to follow up. Seems like a modest chance of success but I’m trying. Major demo will start Tuesday either way. Kitchen island has to come out no matter what.
All for a fricking dishwasher, I long for the days before indoor plumbing.
