Designer / Architect needed for a simple patio cover addition. Any recommendations?

My patio is open air and I want to build a stick built cover. The house surrounds the patio deck on three sides, so it'll be just adding the roof over the patio. Pretty simple and I can build it myself, but I need someone that can create the documents for the permit, and a materials list, and stamp them for Texas. Anybody know one you can reference from experience, not just some guy you know?

I’d suggest getting a draftsman. The one I use in New Orleans has an engineer who stamps. You might be able to find someone like that over there and save a few bucks.

This is what I would do as well. We had a couple of drafters that would come in and do this kind of thing on the weekends for beer money.

I can draw them for you but no stamp. Any draftsman will know someone who can though

Check our Skylift Roof Risers, might be a good application for you. Instead of adding posts these go through the roof and onto screw onto the side wall of the house. Just have to make sure you put gutters on the house to catch the rain.
