design ideas for building a greenhouse

I want to build a small (8 or 10 x 12) greenhouse near my barn which has water and power. I’ve got a nice sunny flat spot picked out
kit or stick build?
I see the aluminum kits listed for sale and they look nice but are overkill for what I need. The pros seem to be that they are cut to fit and come with the clear panels, channels, fasteners etc and are guaranteed to be plumb and square
stick building it will require a little extra effort on layout and assembly to get it square but will certainly be cheaper. The con is that I’ll have to figure out the clear panels myself. I see lexan makes a clear poly panel that should work but again, more effort.
what I am after is a clear shelter more than a winter grow house...weather/storm protection mostly. half walls rather than full walls will probably suffice.
another option for the panels is to use skylight R panel
anyone got any input or done this before?

Have you looked into Hoop Houses made with PVC pipe and covered in heavy plastic?
I watch some of those off-grid shows like "Alaska, The Last Frontier" and some of those folks seem to do well with similar greenhouses for extending their growing season.

Hoop house, there’s a bunch of poly stuff that will work, you want it clear or can it be whitish?
There’s a few semi flexible poly stuff that looks much easier than panels of plexi if you are ok with it not clear.

I had not considered PVC pipe but that is an outstanding idea. I could also move it around if I want to.
I’ll look at the hoop houses, but I bet if I did the frames out of PVC I could add nailers and just use the clear roof panels

yeah thanks but...no
I could build it out of unicorns for 800 bucks.
PVC looks like the ticket, thanks guys.
there are multiple specialty greenhouse sites selling all kinds of fittings.
I’ll post progress here should be pretty easy
they even have custom ground anchors and snap on panel parts

Look at solex cover, it’s flexible.
Bulk of your costs will be in the wall covering if you don’t want to replace it each year.

I’ve been looking into this, you tube videos are useful, a lot of options
I would love to build a greenhouse using windows

It's a small house, you need clear fabric panels that are straight sunlight or can diffuse sunlight then message me once you get the greenhouse. My company carries these types of fabric.
