I've battled moles for years. Tried everything. Traps, gas, poison, etc. The only thing that worked is when I brought a stray cat home from work and she went to town. I also "hunt" them, whereby I knock down their tunnels and wait to see them moving, then I'll spade them with a shovel.

I'm going to try the flare gun gas poison stuff. I've walked and stomped over the soft ground where I think their tunnels are but I haven't seen any movement just yet.

I'm not a fan of widespread insecticide use, but if you do one strong application to kill the grubs that they're eating, they may find a new yard to dine in.

Looks like one possible mole/vole down. About to stencil my lawn mower fighter jet style.

What’s the policy on posting a dead carcass for reasons of identification?

Seems to be no problem… I’ve posted headless snakes before!

So I hit this in some tall grass. I also found the little guy below on the other side of the yard. I don't think the above is a rabbit but I could be wrong. The rabbit has a pretty big head compared to a mole and I didn't see anything that looked like a bigger head on the carcass.

My brother has several small windmills that deters the moles.
