Any ideas on how to remove it without causing damage? It is already dried to board

How big of a splatter? And is the hardie already painted? Scrapping lightlt with a soft wood or using muriatic acid would be my first 2 suggestions.

Grinder wheel? I think they make one for masonry

I was able to get quite a bit off with a wet rag and some elbow grease. Some I had to use a plastic scraper after wetting it a bit. Some will cause a little damage no matter what. Try to to it gently. It’s a real pita.

It is already painted. Just splashes here and there. Nothing to big

Spray it with a hose nozzle. Not a pressure washer but with a nozzle on the stream setting. If it doesnt spray off then simultaneously use something to scrape it off. Then just paint the hardi back.

Sulfamic acid. They use it on tile when mortor needs to be removed. Breaks the hold. I'd test a spot first.
Home Depot has it in flooring section:

Do you have leftover paint? I've never pressure washed hardi before and I know a repaint may not be perfect, but your fastest bet may be to simply pressure wash it off and repaint the imperfections
