have about 5 acres total with about 2 acres getting cut with grooming mower and the rest with bush hog. was thinking of getting a small 20-28 hp tractor and front end loader. what would be the smallest I could get away with hp wise for bush hog. Probably 4 or 5 foot bush hog.

I recently bought a Mahindra 1626 4 wd. with bucket. Also have a 5ft. bush hog, 5 ft. box blade, 5 ft. landscape rake and a 4Ft. tiller....I'm sure the tractor would handle a 5ft. tiller. Great tractor. I may get a finish mower for it later.

We have a Kubota B2320 with 7 acres. Use 5 ft belly mower and 4 ft bush hog. Works great. Small step down is the Bx models which would also work for your situation. The JD 1 series is also an option.

John Deere 1025R with 60" drive over deck and loader are pretty popular and easy to use. Where are you located?
