What’s your process for doing the sprigs?
I documented in pictures above. This is a small operation.

I let the stolons run beyond those bricks and then I just yank two hand fulls out, drop them on the bare ground, water them, step on them, and water at least 2-3 times per day if it’s not raining.

Just step on em? Thanks, I’ll give it a try.

Bermuda really is awesome! It’s fun watching it choke out weeds as it takes over my yard.

Sorry, for best practice cover with top soil or peat moss.
Top soil works.

Yeah, it’s an amazing grass with no limits in full sun. Enjoy

I use a modified Ego. The 3rd notch is about 1.25", which is where I'm maintaining now. Maybe next year...

Get a Earthwise 7 blade. It makes all the difference in bermuda.

Is it easy to learn how to sharpen and easy enough to keep sharp? That's my main concern.

Super easy. Pop tire cap off, remove c clip, remove tire, paint grit on the blades, turn front screw 1/16th of an inch, and backlap.

I have the 5 blade Earthwise. Does the 7 blade make a noticeable difference? I do find it difficult to get through some of the thicker patches of my bermuda and often wonder if its worth upgrading to the 7 blade.

I'm about ready to hit my whole yard with round up at this point. Cut yesterday and should have bagged. Grass had grown about 1.5 inches since I last cut on Sunday. I guess I have to mow 3x per week now.

Front yard is a mix of common bermuda, celebration, centipede, and st aug. the centipede is doing the best out of the three. No weeds in it at all.

In the spring could I spray quinclorac on some of the st aug areas that have a lot of bermuda encroachment? I'm currently cutting at 2.5" for the sake of the st aug. The common is starting to get a bit thin.

Yes you could. 2.5 is tall for Bermuda though. High n, mow twice a week low and Bermuda will travel faster

If it were me, I’d just cut it at 1.5” and dump N on it.
St Aug and Centipede be damned.
