Finally getting sod installed in my terrible bare spots today. Last years drought and weed battle were lost. Advice for watering and care ? Thanks for the help!

Water every morning until it is rooted. This will take about two weeks. Return to normal watering as temps are cooling off. Have propiconazole on hand as you will more than likely get large patch fungus.

Un-install. See if you can return. Pick up zoysia sod. Install.

This what I have done based on the advice of the sod company I’ve purchased from. Water daily until soggy, week 1; every other day until soggy, week 2; couple times - 3 day intervals - to soggy, week 3. By then it should be rooted in and then water as needed thereafter in the absence of rain. Guideline is a minimum of 1 inch + of water weekly.

That has always worked for me. Oct is traditionally somewhat of a dry month in south LA.
