Can You Watch a Weed Actually Grow?

I have many situations where I will completely weed my landscaping, only to go out the next day and have weeks grow overnight of many inches or even a whole foot! Yellow Nutsedge seems to grow 3” or 4” overnight! Same with Chamberbitter.
I wonder if you watched an area for several hours at night if you could actually see a weed noticeable growing?

Chamberbitter is probably my favorite weed, if there is such a term. It’s actually a really good looking weed, bright green and could be a nice ground cover plant. It’s also easy to pull.

Wish I could train my dogs to pee on weeds only.

Just the same as watching paint dry!

Guess you've never been exposed to Kudzu or Bush Killer Vine in your lifetime.
An established kudzu plant can grow up to 1 ft. a day. That is insane.
My first exposure to Kudzu was when living in Miss. back in the early 70's and going for a ride in the Delta region. T
here were old dilapidated farm houses right off the roads that were covered in kudzu and many of the power lines were sagging down several feet due to the weight of the plant growing between the poles.
