Bought a house last fall that has an inground pool. Every night I could hear the bull frogs but figured once I got the pool clear and clean they would go away. Wrong! My pool is now crystal clear and ready to swim. But the bull frogs are still there every night. Even laying eggs in my pool that I have to vacuum every few days. My question is, how do I prevent or get rid of these annoying pest?

I can think of a solution that involves a pool heater and several thousand gallons of canola oil?

Had that problem several times but they just stopped or went away. Swim with a few times which was cool with a mask.

Two recs that will get you results.

Get an outdoor cat (I have mixed feelings about this as out door cats kill everything, good or bad)

Continue to scoop the eggs, kill the frogs, and treat your yard with talstar. Frogs are there because you have a good source. Destroy the current pop. And food source, no more frogs.

Is your water properly chlorinated? What is the ppm measurement?

Kill the eggs and kill the frogs if you can until they disappear. Spotlight and long gig.

Don’t get an outdoor cat. They frick up everything.

So, they actually swim in the pool? How do they ever get out once they get in?

I assume the steps going into the pool..

Everyone else, thanks for the replies. Going to keep cleaning the eggs and work on killing the frogs. May even fry some frog legs lol.

You sure they are bull frogs? Not tree frogs? Bull frogs you should be able to see and catch pretty easily

The chatty frogs are tree frogs. The deep bellowed ones are bulls.
