Automower Experience; Cub Cadet ZTR availability

Where did you get the Cub Cadet? I'm in Mandeville, there doesn't seem to be a dealer nearby and I'd rather have a local contact.

They been testing them for years in Valley City, OH.
All the grass needs to start out cut.
Use to put wires in the ground that the boarder.
It works like a rumba vacuum cuts a little here and little there.
Lets say on an avg a week and should run over the same spots to trim grass.

Friend had a husqvarna robot mower in Germany 12 years ago and said it operated flawlessly. You do need to go pickup sticks and heavy leaves though.

They have a theft deterrent where they don’t work unless you key in the code, but I agree my biggest worry is it would get stolen.

I still want to get one but my wife is not on board and I don’t want it that bad.

I sold Cub Cadet for years along with other brands Dixon, Bad Boy, Hustler, Dixie Chopper, Ferris, Snapper, Scag, Toro, Exmark, Husqvarna, Grasshopper, and Big Dog.
They all have or had their good and bad units.

I had at one time 5 locations and the product lines varied by customer base.
The Ultima ZT1 and ZT2 was one of the lines that I sold that did well for my locations. They had some seat switch issues during Covid as they switched vendors.
We fixed those off the crate before our customers received the units.
They were residential units that sold well and really a good unit in its category.

As far as home centers we did alot of repairs for them.
Huge issue is very poor assembly or decks not being level.
If the unit sits the gas gets water in it and goes bad causing carb issues.
Seen some damaged over the years or parts stolen off of them.
Best one was water & fuel mixed and rusted out a cast iron cylinder sleeve to the piston.
Dead or low batteries as they keep them hooked up to the unit outside.
Battery powered units the problem I seen is they store them outside for extended
periods which caused corrosion at the connections or the batteries kept low for a long period of time.
