Appliance repair in Covington/Mandeville area (clothes washer)

It starting stopping before draining and giving the F-21 error.
Did some basic troubleshooting. Removed front panel and cleared the drain filter thing, which did have some stuff in there but apparently not the root cause as it’s still doing it. Lines appear clear. Suspect bad pump.
Thanks in advance!

allow me to be the first person on this thread to tell you to just take whatever money you were going to spend on an appliance repairman and put it towards a new Speed Queen.

I fixed my 20 year old kenmore(that I'll keep till I die) with the same problem.
Bought 3 parts
New pump, because they are cheap and old one smelt like arse.
Washer lid switch had rusted and needed replacement.
But the reason why it would stop and not drain was the Motor Coupler had come apart.
Replacement parts total 29.94
Pretty easy job.
Just have to unscrew a bunch of shite.
While we have different models I would be checking there first.

F21 bad drain pump on a maytag/whirlpool.
If top load is a really easy job. Just 3 10mm bolts. ..
If front load it may be easy it may be hard. Depending on if model has a kick plate or the whole front panel has to come off.

How old of a washer? If its as old as I think it is Quint has provided you the answer. SQ is the shite!

Its stupid to replace a washer for a simple drain pump failure and I'm the one who started the Speed Queen recommendations on Tiger Droppings 12 years ago.

i misread the OP as he was looking for an appliance repair GUY to come out and take a look. upon a re-read, it now seems he is looking to DIY. i will agree, that if it's a simple, cheap DIY job, that is way smarter than a new washer. my comment was based upon thinking he was looking at spending a couple hundred bucks to have a guy come out.
my bad.
(that said, SQ is still the shite)_
