I’m currently working at a location that has multiple live oak trees and leaves are everywhere which got me to thinking if people in Louisiana would use this type of service? Would this be a job a high school boy can do for money as a side hustle while going to school?

What I’m seeing here is storm drains can’t drain properly due to amount of leaves clogging them.

Wonder if people would pay to have leaves blown to an area of yard (curb probably) and have some one vacuum them up and haul off? Any thoughts on this?

Not really sure, people who need it the most would just mulch the crap out the leaves or blow them into the street anyway. Wealthier neighborhoods generally have private crews or the residents hire the larger lawn service contractors that already have that equipment. I personally would hire someone if I didn't already own a yard vac and a stand alone chipper/shredder.

I do it twice a year.

I have a bunch of maples that absolutely shite leaves all over my yard every fall. I can mow and mulch and within 1 hour on a windy Fall day I can't see my lawn.

Found a local guy that bought a huge truck and vacuum and he charges me $150 per visit. When the leaves are really dumping, I'll let it go a full week and call him and he sucks it all up. I don't have a huge front lawn and he can do it in about an hour. Then I'll mow really quickly.

And then a couple weeks later do it again.

Love my maples, but hot damn are they a pain in the arse in the Fall. But right before they drop they are a brilliant yellow and orange and neon red. It's gorgeous for about a month. Then dump.

ETA:

I don't do it just for my grass to live, but even moreso because it's a nuisance in the neighborhood. They blow all over the street and into neighboring yards. Guy should do my yard for free because I've got 5 or 6 neighbors using him after my referral.

I need some residual leaves in my backyard vacuumed. I’d pay about $75

This is extremely common throughout the Midwest. It was incredibly convenient. Just blow all the leaves to the edge of the street and the big truck with the vacuum drives by and sucks them up in about a minute. Well worth the money over raking and bagging for several hours.

The city I live in provides this service in the winter months. If you blow them into a nice little pile on the curb, they come by in a big vac truck and suck 'em up. Pretty awesome service actually.
