I totally disagree with this. I feed my koi 4-5 times a day and my water is crystal clear. It’’s mainly dependent on your filter system. If your filter is undersized the excess food and waste will result in algae.

He’s the first one that I came across on YouTube trying to learn as much as possible before I built my pond. I watched all of his videos. They’re very informative. Ultimately, I went a different direction and built a block pond with windows like they have quite a bit in the UK.
