Anyone ever gotten rid of landscape rock? How’d you do it if so?

Moved into a house that has very ugly red rock lining the yard next to the fence. I want to get it out asap. It ruins the look of my yard.

Called several landscape companies and they won’t come pick it up, they suggested posting it on Facebook and seeing if anyone will come get it for free.

I really don’t know of a way to get it out that isn’t back breaking, one wheelbarrow load at a time. It’s a shite ton

Shall I put a tarp on a trailer and load the trailer up?

If you don’t mind people showing up id post it on FB. Someone will likely be thrilled to come take it away for free. Win win , again if you don’t mind some stranger working a shovel in your yard.

Maybe try one of those power brooms if it’s small rock? Could sweep into a pile or even onto a board/tarp and load it on a trailer. Not sure how big the rocks are.

I have legitimately never seen one of those, that’s an idea. Would at least get it into piles more easily than a shovel. Wonder what happens when you get it into the landscape mat underneath.

I may try to just get a good inch or two off and mulch over the rest or add a layer from a different rock I like.

Put a few shovel loads in each of your garbage cans till it’s gone

Lava rock?

Hate it also. I ended up bringing mine to the dump (free) with some other things.

Do that, or put it in trash. Or find a gravel road and fix a few potholes? I'm against "dumping", but this might be a rare exception where it's actually beneficial and not littering.
