All four of my dining room chair legs are kind of loose and no matter how many times I try to tighten up the screws, they feel stripped.
I work late during the week so Saturdays is the only day I can take them somewhere to get repaired.

Back out the screws, use toothpicks and wood glue to fill the screw holes. Let it set for a day or two. Reinstall screws. Glue the joints before you screw it back together.

Yeah I've tried that that before and it's a lot of work for not much result. OP would be better off just getting new screws that are bigger.

Use wood filler. Slightly overfill. Put screw back in while it’s wet.

The repair place is either going to do that or slightly drill the hole, glue a dowel rod into the hole then screw it back.

I've used this before: Home Depot

It can be a pain to get in the hole, but once it's in it holds great.

I would personally use gorilla glue or epoxy in the holes with the screws then ratchet straps to really pull the legs together while it dries.

At least two Rachet straps per chair

One around the legs and one over the seat and round the 1st set, pulling everything tight AF

While it sits overnight and dries.

ETA: If you use those Mr. Grips from Home Depot, cut them into thin strips to put 2-3 into the hole before reassembling and tightening the screws.

I’d still use the glue with them to fix the problem for good.
