Think she warns against TruFuel, doesn't see the problems being caused with other brands like Echo or Stihl. When I run RedArmor canned fuel its about a 500 - 600 rpm difference in RPM and I notice it takes a little longer for my blower to really warm up. I pulled the spark arresters out of my stuff too, Stihls happier without the damn things anyway.

Home Depot

Home Depot is running a 24 hr special on a case of trufuel (6 -32 oz) for $31

I linked the 50:1 blend, but other products are also on sale.

Another issue with it is that it simply produces less power and in high strung commercial-grade equipment that can be a noticeable problem, the volatility inherent in gasoline also means it burns better and has more BTU's per volume than canned fuel.

Chickanic in YT hates canned fuels and she has done a lot of videos on them. One thing she showed was engines did not reach full RPM with them compared to non-ethanol gas. The tach doesn't lie.

That's interesting. I honestly never would have thought of it being the TruFuel causing my edger to not run quite like it did when it was new.

I run my edger wide open more often than I do my weedeater, and it definitely doesn't top out like it should. I just kind of figured it was age. It definitely still has plenty of power but I bet it's the TF now that I hear this. I don't run my weedeater wide open a ton so I've never noticed it with them.

Probably finish off this tank of TF and then mix my next gallon to see if there's a difference.

What's the benefit of TruFuel? It seems to be a popular product.

I hate cutting grass and the closer i can get to grab and go for each piece of equipment and be done the better. I want to spent the minimum amount of time cutting grass and the maximum amount of time drinking beers. For me, TruFuel has meant not having to worry about obtaining non-ethanol fuel, mixing fuel, messing with the joke that gas cans have become and most importantly not have to troubleshoot my 2stroke engines in 100 degree weather mid cut. So, its been worth the extra ~$30 per year. Recently I've started to take it a step further and switch to electric where I can.
