Aluminum to Copper electrical question

My old house has aluminum wiring, want to install new fixtures outside front door. I have the alumiconn connectors.
Do I have to pigtail this? It seems electricians pigtail everything, I don't know if that is code, but is it necessary? It is just more wire I have to shove inside the box.

Yes, you have to pigtail and tighten with torque screwdriver to 10 in-lb. It's a pain to fit everything in the box, but if you tighten connections properly, you can push in.

Isn't aluminum wiring a significant fire risk? You might want to look into updating everything.

Isnt the fire risk caused by AL connections loosing over time? Hence the torque requirement.
