This faucet is in a hardly used tub/shower and when it recently had been used it leaked around the base of the knob. I’d like to ask if anyone here knows the model so I can get parts. My research indicates it may be a series 600. I’d like to be sure. Thanks in advance.

those are mostly standard brand replacement valves no matter the model.

turn off the water, remove handle and cover plate, remove nut and single handle shower valve insert cartridge and replace with standard replacement for single handle shower valve

one of these videos will cover your valve LINK

If you were in Baton Rouge I would tell you to take that picture to B&B Faucet and they'd know exactly what you need. Those guys are something else.

Delta Faucet customer support can identify that faucet by looking at the photo and tell you the part number of the replacement valve cartridge. They will send you an email with instructions to respond to the email and attach the photo.

Yes, you are correct. That is a Delta 600 Series trim.
