sure seems like a business where an old guy could hustle some money. So many retired guys with f250s and f350s sitting around rarely used. I wonder if those commercial hauling websites do this? Do they have a minimum? Like ask for a bid to take your tractor 20 miles down the road?
shoot. Register w the DOT. You will be flooded with short haul requests from vendors.

That is prob what I will do next. A couple box trucks and a couple gooseneck flat trailers. You could get a driver or two and make some pocket money pretty quickly

I drove an F-250 super duty, XLT full size bed for 15 yrs and liked all but the gas mileage, cost of diesel and emission control. Loved the towing capacity. Hated the parking. Disliked the engine noise. Really liked how it carried my Honda Foreman in the bed with tailgate closed across Texas. Liked how commanding it is on freeway to other drivers. A real workhorse and great truck. 200k miles. Bough a dodge Ram 1500 hurricane SO. Love it. Just hauled 8000 lb excavator on a 20 foot 10k dual axle flatbed. Suspension was weaker than 3/4 ton but equalizer hitch woukd fix that. Can’t put my Forwman in the bed but overall I like it alot. Good deal financially. A lot more cab room and comfort and options. Pulled the 9-10k load easily engine wise. Way more comfort and options.

The bed space is the main reason why I drive a 250 over a 150.
