Why is there no TD app?

What does it need an app for, what would the app do that the browser doesn’t?

I want notifications before an app...a person replied to your post, thread, said your name, etc. Apps are falling by the way side now and the cost to develop one just doesn't make sense.
But let's be honest, when's the last time that someone or some group of posters asked for a site feature and got it? Not a board, a ban reversal, or an un-anchor - an actual feature. Not knocking Chicken and his admin team, just saying that they have real jobs and lives and to them the juice isn't worth the squeeze for them with a lot of this stuff.
I want expanded BBCode features before anything, that would be so easy. Tables and lists and shite.

If you actually wanted an answer, last thing I remember was WG asking for the Possible Alter RA feature.
Pretty sure he asked FOREVER before he finally made a "how fricking hard is it" thread and they did it

That would be nice. I hate using apps to be honest, and then the phone/tablet keeps jumping back and forth between them whenever you want to look at something. Staying put in the browser makes so much more sense than jumping back and forth between different software.

Most forums, even major ones, don't have apps but a mobile version. It's easier/cheaper to maintain and can work just as well since there are no extra issues many of which would require different support.

There used to be a feature where you could be emailed when someone responded to your post or thread.

I wouldn't mind that if the responses to my posts were actually a response to what I typed and not just some lazy dude responding to my post because it's the last one in the thread. It's annoying.
