You don't read the OT very often do you?
Since the central theme of this thread is around cops, let's use a cop analogy to explain this.
trolling the board is like speeding.
speeding is against the law and everybody does it sometimes but that doesn't mean you get a ticket every time you speed. Hell, you may even pass a cop with a radar gun while speeding but he doesn't write you a ticket because you are only going 5-6 mph over the limit. That doesn't mean speeding is any more legal than it was. However, you can bet that if that same cop catches you going 30 over the limit that you are getting a rather large penalty.

ETA: And this really isn't about exposing corrupt cops because everybody knows cops are corrupt. It's more about the admins picking and choosing which topics they're going to allow to be debated. We asked a simple question about why the thread was anchored and after getting the run around and no clear answer, the answer became clear, but only indirectly. That's really what bothers me.
