re: When can we get an "alter" button added to the RA menu?

I think I would support this if it was just limited to the SECR, where alters are made just to flame. Doesn't seem to be as big of an issue on other boards. The SECR is already a shitstorm of bad posters, alters just make it worse..and it's gonna keep getting worse leading into football season.

All of this. The people who are all "LOL why u so mad bro? Lighten up, it's a message board!" are totally not seeing the bigger issue. If the admins are totally cool with letting alters run rampant, and do the same things they have been originally banned for, why not just break all the rules? Why not? Just create another alter and do it all over again.

I know the admins like to be somewhat proactive in dealing with troublemakers (via the RA feature, encouraging people to email them, whatever), so that's why I suggested making just the slightest little tweak to an already existing feature.

I realize that simply due to time constraints you can't just review every posters post history all the time, it's impossible. It seems like if they got an RA specifically pointing out that someone in question is an alter, 90% of the work is already done for them.

Speaking of alters, think there is an obvious one in the sticked thread on the rant. First post calling out tad as a shitty poster? I know its pretty obvious that he is a shitty poster, but he is pretty quick to the draw on that one
