Time to cease Ped State?

With the eyes of the nation on the Big Ten Conference Championship Game, maybe tonight is the perfect time to stop allowing calls of Ped State and its variations.
I have never publicly called out admins, I understand requests such as mine are what the Help Board is for. I'm sure the next thousand people to down vote me will disagree. Thank you for your consideration.

We have been meeting and none of us have come up with a way to change the perception of Penn State. Years of protecting and encouraging a pedophile is pretty hard to overcome.

Thanks, Fred. I know there are complexities to the situation, and I know I am on an LSU site. I appreciate both of these things. I'm not looking for any kind of bans, I think a small amount of Admin interaction would do the job.
An example:
First page on the MSB has a Congrats Penn State post, LINK. I don't know how genuine UnoMe was when posting, but he did not flame anybody.
The first three responses were Sandusky related pictures by Gravy. No content except to inflame. But no direct attacks.
That is followed up by the following:
The first one, while again inflammatory, is still not a direct attack. There is no defense for SelaTiger's response. Had Admins stepped in with a reminder of Guideline #4

I wasn't attempting to be funny, Penn State really should have killed the program. After the horrible shite that went on for many years, and was actually being ENABLED to go on, Penn State should have viewed football as a black eye to the university and an embarrassment. I can't understand the mental gymnastics you guys go through to support this program and continue to worship Joe Pa. Penn State would have been completely dead to me.

What is your honest view of the penn state situation? If you werent a fan, how would react and view the university/football program?
