Isn’t working correctly. I just got a new iPad and tried to sign in to the SEC Rant. My password wouldn’t work so tried the “Forgot your password” option and it won’t work. Any idea why?

Check your settings and verify it’s going to the correct email address that you have control over.

I checked the email and it is correct. I received the temp passwords numerous times but it won’t let me login so I can reset my password.

I had this problem before.
IIRC, the temp pass worked. Then it went to reset password screen. After setting the new password and you hit submit. It acted like it wouldn't work.
Then, I logged out. Logged back in with new password and it worked.
Hope that helps

I just tried this and it worked for me. Not sure what the issue is.
Need to use the last temp password that was sent as the older ones are expired. Are you cutting and pasting the temp password? Make sure an extra chars is not getting pasted on the end. Maybe manually enter the password. Use the temp password on the device that is not logged in. Also make sure you are using the correct username correct.

this is one thing i worry about. when i first signed up 7 years ago, i was told i had to use a work email as a verification to minimize bot/spam accounts. i no longer work for that company and any emails related to TD i won't/haven't been getting.

I remember having a problem with this also and it took me days to figure out how to do it.
Can't remember exactly what it was but after you put in the temp password you had to click on a box that you had to scroll down to see or something like that.
Sorry I can't remember more but it was something that once I figured it out I was like, boy am I stupid.

I have made 2 separate threads on the help board regarding this.
The first was ignored.
The second had a smart arse remark of by admin of “User Error”.
When I get the temp password and plug it in, it tells me to create new password...when I do, a message pops up saying something along the lines of “not all requirements have been met”—-that’s it—nothing to tell exactly what those requirements are. I have tried numerous times over 7 months and it keeps saying the same thing. I am using passwords with 8 characters, one numeral, and one symbol. What exactly are the perameters for a password?
I even asked in my previous help board inquiry if it was necessary to have all of my iPads logged out when a new password was being created, but this also was ignored by admin.
I kept one logged in in the event I couldn’t get back on to post to the help board to figure this out. I simply forgot my password as all my devices have been auto logging in for a couple years, but I updated them all. I did a restore to previous iPad when setting up, so I am still logged in, but can’t see the password as it was not saved in the keeper.
Hence the reason for the reset.
I have given up.
