Strongly encourage people who link youtube videos to use the ones without advertisements.
I realize it is impossible in some cases but with a little extra effort a non advertisement version is available.

No ads usually means some sort of quailty issue with the video because Youtube tries to take down anything not posted by Vevo or the artists (both of which always have ads)
I like the idea, but the execution is tough to do
One thing I would like is instead of just using "LINK" as a name, having to put what song it is in the link name
I hate when i see LINK on mobile and when it doesnt work, i have no clue of what song they are talking about

Diluting the OT and I feel like there's gonna be as much traffic on it a couple of weeks after it starts as the hornets board has on most days.

I shared similar concerns as well.
But it is impossible to tell.
The OT already gets the most traffic on this site. It will probably continue to get the most traffic even with a music board.
A music board is certainly worth a shot, there is virtually no risk.
In the unlikely event it pulls in Hornets Board like traffic, chicken can always contract.

Exactly. It doesnt live off of seasons like the Hornets board (Basketball in general is dead for half the year which is why that board is so slow usually)
Music is something tangable all year long that promps discussion and presents information which is a major part in making a board successful
Plus between 14 IM threads, disapointing CSB threads, WYHI/WOWYHI threads and threads that dont belong on the OT the music threads never get a chance to stay on the first page for longer than an hour unless its made at 2:00 in the morning
