First, you use the first few years of your posting to develop a friendship with the poster you wish to PM. Then, at some point along the way, the poster may feel friendly enough to you to post their email address. Then, from there, through a few more years of friendly emails, the poster may feel comfortable enough in giving you their real name. With that, you can ask the poster about any other social media sites that they post on. After this, you should sign up to that social media site and create an account. From there, you would try to "friend" or "follow" the poster. Finally, find the PM or IM function on that particular social media site and send a PM to the poster.
