Could we make an app for the TD?

TD Mobile works pretty well for most people. I just use desktop view on my phone. Works fine.

I'm mostly a mobile user too. Just keep TD mobile open in a tab.

All I pretty much use is TD mobile. No complaints from me about it.

I use mobile 98% if the time I'm on TD. I'm just not sure what an app would do that TD Mobile doesn't already do.
If you just want a TD icon on your home screen, click the box with the up arrow on the bottom of your screen, and click add to home screen. This is assuming you have an apple device.

An app with a picture uploading function from a mobile device would be 
so you could simply pull pictures from your photo albums instead of going to a website

You can't even do this from the desktop version. TD doesn't host images- the requirements to do that are way more strenuous than to have them hosted some place else. Nowhere else is going to let TD use their bandwidth to host media directly from a TD app without taking a slice of the pie. Why slice the pie?

Photobucket has an app that's ridiculously easy to use. I can take a picture and have it uploaded in posted within a minute or two.

an app could do notifications, which neither the mobile website nor desktop site can do. It would be awesome...ly annoying because i'd get notification non stop.
