I use DDG on an iPhone and have always been able to swipe from the left to go back.

I have that with my Premium Membership. Go on the Help page and it will show you how to apply. It’s pretty straightforward.

I've never had an issue swiping left to go back a page on iphone, not on Safari or Google Chrome browsers. Op is just a dummy
