Can we start the forced phase out of "Germans"?

I think in some ways it drives people away from posting new threads and wanting to contribute. How many times have people found a cool article or story and wanted to post it, but didn't for fear it would be a repost.
All forums have reposts, its very common.
But usually reposts fall to obscurity quickly because people see that it is recycled info. Though here, reposts are purposely bumped so that way people can say "Germans"
or try and spell it out.
Maybe it was funny in 2009 a few times. But Germans itself is more Germans than Germans ever was. It won't go away without admin interaction. I'll hang up now and let the usual cast of "help" board posters chime in. I set the O/U on German replies at 5.

If this "fear" doesn't stop the germanic posts, then I doubt it's stopping any new content.

If someone is too scared to post because they might be german'd by some homoqueersicle, then they can keep lurking.

It was worn out way before 2009
This site is full of tards that want to be first at everything.
Whether it is a new story or Germans or lunch/good morning/lnst or game threads, they just want to be first

9/10 the people that are doing it have < 1500 posts and registered within a year.
I personally hate the G E R nonsense; however, I do appreciate a clever, well thought out germans reference.

The FIRST PAGE stuff started and faded rather quickly. Either it didnt catch on, or the admins squashed that with the quickness.
In addition to a good germans referece, I'm ok with people posting IN in threads that will most certainly get whacked.

Never really and that's pretty much where it's at now. Anyone that posts Germans looks like a fool to everyone and people that use germans references aren't any better but think they are for some reason.
It'll die out sooner or later. PIIHB used to be everywhere and its not posted very often anymore.

Hardly ever. Wasnt saying they were that frequent, but a well used germans reference, like any other clever joke, can be appreciated.

"Kill the head and the body will die"
There is one poster in particular who thinks they are the first on the scene beat writer of the internet

We should combine "First" and "Germans" into "Fuhrmans"

I saw it make it all the way to 'GERMANS' one time. I thought that was funny. A 'G' followed by a regular response is kind of boring and dull.
And OP, it doesn't discourage posters from posting stories. It encourages them to use the search function and add to old threads or find related threads. Not searching is extremely discouraged, as it is quite a useful tool provided to us by the humble and great Admin Team and hamsters that run the servers day and night, rain or shine, new sawdust or old.

Exactly. Germans is a verbal/textual way that a poster will be reprimanded and it improves the newness and originality of content.
