How do you bump a post to move it to the top?

Post in the thread?

If the thread has been locked or anchored, then you'll need an admin to unlock it/remove the anchor.

Please do not 'bump' anything that is more than a couple of weeks old.

This always seemed odd. When did this rule start. Why not add to a thread rather than start a "Germans" one?

On this case OP was talking about his thread on the ticket exchange.

To me, the reason for the bump determines if a new thread should be started. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

That's why I said don't bump one that is more than a couple of weeks old. Sometimes information changes, thus making the initial post outdated and confusing.

Besides, threads get stale, and sometimes it's nice to have a fresh thread re-hash a two-week old or more topic, as it can provide new/different thoughts or ideas.

Nice job anchoring this thread.

So by your logic, should the acc guy keep starting new threads about his cousins job?
