You're absolutely right that the forums don't conform to me so I'll say this now, Chicken, please ban the pedo bear from TD.COM. So now in the meantime I'll tolerate them for as long as I can. 

I'm not trying to pull a TulaneLSU with that top ten suggestions and all that nonsense. I just don't like seeing avatars and sig pics on TD.COM associated with a horrific crime. It is beneath us and this great site as well. Doesn't matter if it's supposed to be a joke. I don't make jokes about children being violated.

Plus if we ban a mascot that is about pedophilia, shouldn't we ban the subject altogether? And while we're at it, aren't rape and murder just about as bad? So no more images, subjects, or posts that have to do with murder or rape. And speaking of deaths, all references to suicide should not be tolerated due to the fact that this site could make someone kill themselves. Hooray censorship. It will certainly make this board a better place.

So why not turn off avi/sigs then you don't have to worry about seeing them.... It is really that simple instead of bitching and moaning

I like how y'all completely ignored the Acreboy example I posted. Here's the answer. No one can come up with an explanation for that. I haven't been able to look at the pedo bear as the same now that I know that pedophiles and ephebophiles use them as their mascot.

I never said that I wanted to ban all discussion and pics and threads about murder, suicide, rape and other tragic crimes and/or horrific incidents. Sounds like your reading comprehension is a little off there son. Such discussion is very healthy and needed and it makes us more informed as a society about these things. But that's where it ends, in the discussion in those threads.

Look at my thread title. That's what this thread is about. No need to make something so personalized like avatars and/or sig pics have something in them related to a horrific crime and/or incident. They are supposed to reflect your personality and what you think of yourself as a poster. I like to see that, for that reason and see how creative people can be as well.

OMLANDSHARK, I like and respect you as a poster and I liked your thread about 8 years after the dark knight before the dark knight rises and the theories you posted. And we had good times in the Arkham City countdown thread.

But you're wrong on this issue. Just looked at your post history and you were participating in a Sandusky thread. If you are truly against pedophilia like I know you are, you would be ragging the frick out of people who use the pedo bear in avatars and/or sig pics like I am. And you participating in that thread is what I am talking about when it comes to healthy discussion.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this issue.

Oh and btw if your all suggesting that I'm a pedophile and I like kiddie porn because I googled pedo bear, . You can all go frick yourselves. What a blatant act of character assassination. I was trying to make a point that the pedo bear is not as funny as it seems. It's not just a cartoon bear, it's what it symbolizes. If you have kids of your own, young nieces and nephews and baby cousins or a friend with a child as well, you wil understand. I'm one of the biggest defenders of children's innocence out there. I even donated money to St. Jude last year even though I'm dirt poor as a college student.

Sounds like everyone is just getting their pink lace panties in a wad over someone that actually, gasp!!! Has the sheer audacity to question TD.COM or even the internet, when in fact it is healthy to do so. My thread is what someone would call constructive criticism.
