yes a bad coach is very comparable to an entire sport in general

Half the posts on that board were bashing the coach Bradley. Hilarious.

I have no problem with Miles bashing but that guy went over the edge. If you are going to bash him stick to the football aspect of it and not bring up his wife/kids/family.

In no way am I a Miles supporter. I have not once taken up for him on the rant, but I also haven't bashed him. I am indifferent. However, whats fair is fair. Threatening to ban on the WC board should be enforced on the rant as well. If not, then let people bash soccer.

so because you couldn't make fun of soccer you can never be negative on this site about anything again? Like I said, there were 100s, 1000s of posts/threads on the soccer board bashing USA's coach and I'm sure other countries' coaches too. Nobody was banned for that. So how on earth would Miles bashers being banned equal fair play?

No but chickie put a stop to the bashing, thats all that should happen on the rant. I'm not talking about bannings.

he didn't put a stop to Bob Bradley bashing, your analogy was horrible

If the rant starts bashing the sport of football then we can ban some people.

Bashing/negative comments should be allowed... Just keep it football related, do not cross the line into the coaches personal life.

O well, we can agree to disagree. I don't feel like arguing.

No he didn't. He put a stop to the flame threads like "soccer sucks," "soccer is for pussies," "soccer is boring," etc.

Criticizing players and coaches is part of life in general and this board in particular. But management always draws the line when criticism turns from legitimate to personal. Attacking Miles' wife clearly is over the line.

We don't agree on soccer. But, flaming is flaming. No excuse for it at all on any board.
