Adding text to an image

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it's possible to add text inside an image that one is posting into a thread?

No.
You can edit the photo beforehand.
The easiest way without photo-editting software:
1. Save the image on your hard drive
2. Open it in Paint. Right-click on the image. Open with> Paint. If you are running windows, you should have the paint program.
3. Use the text button to add text over an image
4. Save the file
5. Upload to a photo sharing site (photobucket, flickr, etc)
6. Post link in thread
