A Modest Proposal for the Tiger Rant

As the great admins of this website and the Supreme Overlord Chicken already know, The Rant serves as home to all threads related to LSU Athletics. At any given point in the year (especially not that baseball and basketball practices have begun) there are several threads about baseball, basketball, and football. But sometimes I find it hard to navigate to a thread about a sport while another is currently in full stride.
Let me cut to the chase: I think a thread sorter based on each sport would be very beneficial to the board and the website. An OP could specify (via a dropdown box or checkboxes, whatever) which sport the thread is about, and the link text of the thread title would be color coded for that sport (or an icon, you have the creative license here). After the thread is posted, there could be a similar sorter on the board so that a poster could view only one sport at a time, as well as all of them together.
And yes, I also believe it could minimize the tiresome comments about "x threads during y season."
This could also be applicable to the MSB.

I want a basketball board so retards can't come into a thread and say "who the frick cares?" shite's annoying.

Don't you realize the Rant is just for LSU football? It even declares such in the page title.

Lol why do you have all those separate sites in your bookmark bar on your win98 machine?

Uh, for easy access? Don't you use bookmarks?

Well frick, I knew this would get hijacked. I'll suggest the same idea in a few months with a different thread title

I would likely support this. I'd be interested in hearing some pros and cons from yayers and nayers before giving my official vote.

I also think it'd be beneficial for the recruiting board

There's redundancy. Those links are available on the left pane of TD as you browse.

Those buttons are bigger & easier for my old eyes to find than the links in that list. I have buttons for the very few TD boards I frequent. Lots of crap along that left side. (Don't tell Chicken I said that.)
