Calorie restrictive diet Sunday through Thursday and then back to no restrictions Friday and Saturday. It seems to be working as I am dropping weight but it also has the benefits of enjoying the food I love on the weekends. My questions is will this lead to a slow in metabolism or since my calorie restriction is only 5 days in a row there shouldn't be any slow down in my metabolism?

By no means am I an expert here, but I believe you have to cycle. I don't think it will slow your metabolism. I experienced the opposite. I stayed at 1500-1800 per day for a couple of months, no cheat days and I stopped losing weight (still had some fat to lose). My metabolism slowed to a crawl. I went to 2000-2200 and started losing weight again. I really want to carb cycle, but can't get my mind to go there right now lol.

Have you thought about intermittent fasting? Maybe try 16/8 or OMAD 3 times during the week.

You’ll have to be careful with your current set up since i could see someone going crazy on the weekends with no restrictions. During the week, you’d have to make sure your calories are from mostly protein and complex carbs. Also, continue to exercise during the week.

I lost 50lbs in about 10 months last year doing pretty much the same thing. Very restricted on weekdays and if I felt like eating something on the weekends I did. I was also working out 4-5 days a week.

As long as you are being consistently active and burning calories, you should be find. I try to workout everyday and I'm losing a pound every two or three days. I also only eat good proteins and no carbs outside of veggies high in fiber.

it really depends on what your no restrictions means. if you eat 2000 kcals a day but you blow it out on the weekends you need to look at how that affects your average kcals per day. im guessing you arent going too crazy if you are losing weight. if that average kcals per day stays consistent you will know your metabolism is slowing down when your weight loss stalls.
