What affect will lifting have on my body at this point?

Gym bros, I need your help. I lost 65lbs through keto, fasting, and getting my meds dialed in.
I’ve gotten to a pretty good weight for my body type, but still have a little belly/some body softness I’d like to work on now. If I add lifting to the mix, what affect can I expect on my body? Will it improve fat loss?
I always hear, “You can bulk or cut, but you can’t do both.” Well, I definitely don’t want to bulk. I’m afraid of gaining weight/fat back based on past lifting experience while trying to lose weight.

Lifting weights didn’t cause you to gain weight/fat. You’re nutrition plan or lack of did.

Weight loss, body fat have more to do with diet than training.

It'll definitely help. Increased testosterone, more energy, you'll feel stronger, and your body will feel tighter. You can still get these benefits by lifting while cutting but if you've lost that much weight it probably would be a good idea to do a short clean bulk and then go back to cutting

Sure it carries a little more weight for experienced lifters and people chasing a certain physique, but if you’re just trying to be healthy and lose weight, picking up a dumbbell or barbell isn’t gonna immediately change the way you need to eat. It all depends on what your goals are
Lifting will burn more calories than if you didn’t. Lifting will help at least preserve lean mass than if you didn’t. Will you turn into a power lifter or the rock? Not without more specific cycling, but you’ll look better naked which is pretty much everyone’s goal right

Maybe more indirectly. Felt like my appetite was insatiable.
