Started TRT 5 weeks ago and I'm experiencing some extreme water retention. Even drinking more than a gallon of water a day I use the restroom maybe 4 or 5 times.

Is this common and will it correct itself. I am going to a doctor for the TRT and taking estrogen blockers all prescribed to me.

"Some people notice a little swelling in their feet and ankles because testosterone can encourages your body to hold onto excess fluid, says Dr. Morgentaler."

I'd say at least speak to your doctor if it doesn't abate. That said, 5 weeks in is very new and prime time for side effects from adjustment to the new testosterone. Things may even out, but it's not great to ignore excess water retention.

I go in and three weeks to get my blood drawn and recheck my levels. I know it's new but if this keeps up i'm going to have to abandon it.

1. Your probably prescribed too much test. My doc prescribed me 200mg/week and I found out through my own experimentation that 100mg/week was the sweet spot for me.
2. Get an online peptide site like Maxim peptides to sell you the estrogen blockers, arimidex (anastrozole) is the best one. It’ll be way cheaper than the TRT doc just raping you for for more $!

I think he started me at 200g a week. My test levels pre injection were around 205. I'm also taking semorelin daily but I haven't read anything about that having any water retention side effects.

Semirelin is fake hgh, you’re paying for something that’s not really worth the money. Just my opinion. You might just get your doc to lower you to 100mg/week and see if you like that better.

No it isn't it increases your bodies output of HGH from your pituitary gland.

I know what your doctor told you and well aware of what it does. The impact of it, compared to real hgh is about 10%. Keep taking it man, I’m not talking shite on you, I’m just trying to help you figure out where your money is best spent.

I researched a lot. I know that the downfalls. I'm not sure I want to be on HGH forever and I'm worried about my body losing the ability to produce it if I ever stop taking the real deal stuff. So I'm trying this route at first.

It is the HGH not the TRT. If you are taking (HGH) too much too quick without ramping up, you will swell up like a puffer fish.
200mg of Test will probably never make anyone retain water nor will it raise estrogen so high as to ever need somehting as strong as Arimidex or Anastrazol. GET OFF THE AI! Even the late Dr. Crisler was pulling his patients off AI’s before he passed away (suicide). Start here LINKand listen to the Doctor’s roundtable and educate yourself. More than likely your doc is pretty clueless about TRT and Estrogen Blockers. The new evidence has changed.

As stated before I'm not on hgh I'm on sermorelin. It's an amnio acid that stimulates your body to increase natural HGH and not much.

More like to levels in your early 20s as opposed to overloading it.

Also all the research I've done points directly to the trt. Sermorelin doesn't even list that as a side effect

I'll check the article though thanks for the link

I totally disagree with this. 200mg/week makes me hold about 8lbs water, 100mg/week makes me hold more like 3lbs water.
Real HGH can make you hold a little water, but it’s worth it. The semorelin will not bc it’s not HGH. However, OP-you’re silly if you think Semorelin will get your levels like they were in your early 20s. You need 2-3iu/day of decent Chinese name brand growth to do that.

I could hold three lbs of water a day not using TRT. If you’re holding more water than normal (8lbs) on 200mg a week, I would bet that you are using the Cypionate esther once a week or have a heart condition. More frequent injections will yield substantially less side effects. OP - look into SubQ injections more frequently.

Semorelin is crap and there is only one source for peptides that medical establishments use. Peptides are amazing but sourcing is ridiculously hard.

Unaided they’re about 200. With 200mg/wk they’re about 900, with 100mg/week they’re more like 500. I’m actually currently not on any and feel fine.

I would bet its the semorelin, ghrp’s tend to do that. The only other thing I would maybe you don’t react well to cypionate ester. My fruend retained a ton of fluid on trt with cypionate, changed sustanin blend and water/inflammation(whatever was happening) ceased. I mean youre on trt, you don’t have that much testosterone to aromatase to estrogen for the side effects you’re describing.

In two weeks it will mark the 2 month mark on it. I'm getting my blood work done and will post my test levels.
