anyone have any experience with the VBT sensors? mainly looking at the repone strength and the vitruve linear transponder units.

Repone is American made and where I am leaning. I know app is not quite as good but big update on the way.

they can both measure vertical jump, broad jump, on top of velocities both with bar and person. also I think both, but for sure Repone, can be used on jammer arms for sport specific velo and even on wrist for certain med ball throws that are sport specific.

if wondering why I want them, I have 3 young boys in different sports. looking at easy ways to progress them in instead of just weight on the bar or more reps. 100% getting one so really looking for experience with actual units.

Yea he uses gymaware. Way to expensive and honestly think the two I named are better, atleast for home use and especially for what I want it for. Love his stuff though

A powerlifter at my gym trains with one. He really likes it. I don’t remember which brand it was. I also know that LSU s&c used it some years ago. Idk if they still do with their new coach, but I think they liked it during season training to make sure guys were getting strong without the CNS fatigue of high percentage loads. It allowed them to train hard and still recover for practice and games.

I’m not sure if I would recommend it for young athletes. Seems unnecessary for an untrained kid, but I get your reasoning.

We use a radar gun for med ball throws.

I do too, pocket radar only goes to 15 though and currently without one cause mine got stolen. I’ll buy another but there are certain med ball throws when we go heavy that are hard to get over that 25 mark

I want it mainly for vbt and jump but also will use it with some med ball stuff too

Yea my fault though, left it on the bench at dbat. 100% my fault, I was rushing trying to get out of there to football practice after pitching and left it sitting. I don’t blame anyone, but myself.

Not surprised though, Bren multiple incidents at tournaments where people have tried and I caught them so not surprising.
